Obstetric ICU (OICU) care is specialized care that is provided to critically ill pregnant women and women who have recently given birth. OICU care is provided by a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, gynaecologists, intensivists, and nurses

OBSTETRIC HIGH RISK CARE

Obstetric high-risk care is specialized care that is provided to pregnant women who have an increased risk of complications during pregnancy or childbirth.

This risk may be due to a variety of factors, including:

  • Pre-existing medical conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, or epilepsy
  • Multiple pregnancies
  • Older or younger maternal age
  • Previous pregnancy complications
  • Certain genetic disorders
